Why Clarity Changes Everything

Happy Tuesday, friends. I hope your week is off to a good start.

I’m sitting here this morning with my coffee, thinking about how often we make life harder than it needs to be. Why is that?

Perhaps because we often approach life as if it were a problem to solve instead of a lovely experience to have.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes the harder we try to figure things out, the more confused we become?

I know I’ve been there, and this is how sometimes, that effort can build the charge or the deflection instead of the attraction of what we want.

In fact, whenever we start feeling overwhelmed, it’s not usually because we don’t have enough information, guidance or support, but rather, we have put too much pressure on ourselves at times to make the “right” decision and in doing so we create even more chaos and confusion.

And somewhere in all of that noise, we lose touch with ourselves.

We must remember to let life be simple.

Over the years, I’ve learned that clarity doesn’t come from forcing.

It comes from slowing down enough to cultivate alignment.

Some of the biggest answers in life don't arrive while trying to hustle into them. They come while walking the dog, sitting in prayer, traveling, journaling, or simply enjoying a quiet morning with a cup of tea.

Life has a funny way of speaking to us when we finally become still enough to listen.

Maybe you need that reminder today too.

Maybe you’ve been trying to figure out your next step.

Maybe you’re wondering about your purpose, your relationships, your work, or simply where life is leading you next.

Can I lovingly remind you of something?

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

You don’t need the entire roadmap.

You only need the next step.

And sometimes the next step isn’t doing more.

Sometimes it’s resting.

Sometimes it’s praying.

Sometimes it’s turning off the noise and trusting that what is meant for you doesn’t need to be forced- and that it simply comes from your inner alignment.

One question that is worth asking ourselves is..

“What would I do different if I trusted myself?” or even better, "when I remember who I am?"...

I love that question because deep down, I believe we already know so much more than we think we do, we just don't give ourselves the space to explore it.

We spend so much time looking outside of ourselves for answers that we forget God has placed wisdom, intuition, and discernment within us.

And when we search outwardly, it only intensifies the hollow feeling.

Peace has become one of my greatest guides.

Not urgency.

Not fear.

Not pressure.

Peace.

And whenever I follow peace, things tend to unfold beautifully in their own, appointed time.

So if you’re feeling uncertain today, maybe this is your permission slip to slow down.

Go for the walk.

Say the prayer.

Sit outside.

Take a deep breath.

Trust yourself.

You don’t have to force your life to happen.

The process of life will always unfold itself.

Journaling for Clarity

One of my favorite ways to discover my clarity is through journaling. Sometimes I journal as if I'm talking to God, other time I just sit down and bleed out on paper, and yet other times, I'll write as if I'm talking to my future self. It can be a fun and playful space! And you might surprise yourself with where your thoughts go while journaling!

Below I have linked a few of my favorite journals. I love the feel of linen journals, along with things that look and feel vintage, it kind of takes me back to an old world way of living, like slow living, and that feels like medicine to my soul.

Here is a fun little journal promtp for you:

What would change in my life, if peace were my guide?

Meditating for Clarity

Spending time in a sacred space that is devoted to prayer and meditation will usually always lead to clarity- not because it is forced, but becuase you're slowing down enough to be present, and taking deliberate action to receive guidance from your heart and from God.

Below I have added a few sweet things that help me make my space feel special and sacred. And I hope they make you feel that way too!

You simply have to stay present enough to receive what is already trying to find you.

And perhaps that’s what living a spirited life really is.

Not having everything perfectly planned.

Not having all the answers.

But choosing to move through life with faith, curiosity, and the courage to remain…

Unafraid to Be Alive.

With love,

Kimberly
